Get ready, Marvel fans! D23 just dropped a ton of exciting news about new Avengers experiences heading to Disney Parks worldwide. We’re talking massive expansions, epic new attractions, and even a brand-new Spider-Man land!
During D23: The Ultimate Fan Event, Disney superfan John Stamos took the stage, alongside Walt Disney Imagineer Brent Strong and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. They shared incredible updates on the ever-growing Marvel universe within our favorite parks, from California to Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Talent Announced for Avengers Attractions at Disneyland Resort
Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure is about to get a whole lot bigger! A major expansion will double the land’s size, bringing two brand-new attractions by 2028: Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. Plus, the land will soon reconnect with Cars Land, which is a fantastic detail for park flow!

Prepare for battle in Avengers Infinity Defense! As new recruits, Ms. Marvel, played by Iman Vellani, briefs you on your crucial mission: reassemble the Avengers to stop King Thanos from unleashing chaos.

This sounds like an incredible immersive journey!
Stark Flight Lab at Disney California Adventure
Want to experience what it’s like to train like a flying Avenger? The Stark Flight Lab is your chance! Debuting in 2028, this attraction puts you in two-person “gyro-kinetic pods.” You’ll roll along a track, stopping in front of a giant robot arm, for a simulated flight inspired by Iron Man’s high-speed maneuvers.

Avengers Tower Transforms the Skyline of Hong Kong Disneyland
Over at Hong Kong Disneyland, a stunning new Avengers Tower is transforming the skyline of Tomorrowland. This impressive pavilion will house the Avengers Research Testing Labs. Here, Stark Industries and brilliant minds like Peter Parker (Spider-Man) work on cutting-edge tech. But where there’s powerful tech, there are always villains lurking! You’ll find yourself caught in the middle of the action, traveling across realms like Wakanda and Asgard with Spider-Man and other Super Heroes, thanks to over 120 feet of storytelling tech.
Look out for the new Quinjet landing platform nearby – a perfect spot to meet your favorite heroes! Construction is well underway, and once it goes vertical, it will truly make a statement on the towering skyline of Tomorrowland and beyond in Hong Kong.
Sling Webs with Spider-Man at Shanghai Disney Resort
Meanwhile, Shanghai Disney Resort is getting the world’s first land dedicated exclusively to Spider-Man! This new thrill attraction will be home to the Shanghai division of the Worldwide Engineering Brigade, or W.E.B. – a familiar organization founded by Tony Stark to inspire young innovators.
Many dialed-in fans may recognize W.E.B. from the Avengers Campus locations at Disney California Adventure and Disney Adventure World; Tony Stark set up this organization to encourage young people to experiment with new technology.
Peter Parker and his friends are creating Spider-Bots to help with experiments and build their new coaster.
Imagineers are even collaborating with local artists to create over 20 murals across the new land, celebrating science, Spidey, and the Avengers. If you’re attending D23 this year, you might even see a sneak preview of their work on display at the Imagineering Pavilion at the Anaheim Convention Center!
The final piece of the coaster track is already installed. What could possibly go wrong with all those Spider-Bots around? We can’t wait to sling webs!
