  • Crush’s Coaster Closing for Its Biggest Refurbishment Yet!

Get ready, turtles! Crush’s Coaster, a true fan favorite at Disney Adventure World, will close for its biggest technical refurbishment yet, starting September 7, 2026. This means no more dives into the East Australian Current until summer 2027. But don’t worry, it’s for a good cause! Many Disneyland Paris teams are already gearing up for this massive project. Let’s peek behind the scenes at what’s coming!

For months, dedicated teams from Design & Delivery, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, Maintenance, and the Central Workshops at Disneyland Paris have been meticulously preparing for this major overhaul. This extensive refurbishment will guarantee the attraction runs smoothly and safely for many years to come, offering the best possible experience and more comfort for both guests and Cast Members. It’s all about making sure Crush keeps spinning and thrilling us for a long, long time!

    A Massive Technical Modernization

This roughly ten-month project will unfold in two main phases. Our skilled teams will tackle many critical systems vital for the attraction’s operation. They’re set to completely replace several technical components, including control systems, sensors, communication equipment, and even certain sections of the rails. Imagine the intricate work involved to ensure your journey is as smooth and exciting as ever!

The second major phase dedicates itself to an extensive campaign of tests and technical validations. This step is absolutely crucial to guarantee everything works perfectly, seamlessly, and safely before the attraction reopens to the public. Safety first, always!

Bringing the EAC Back to Life

Beyond the vital technical upgrades, this refurbishment also presents a fantastic opportunity to lovingly care for the attraction’s cherished decor. Throughout the entire construction period, Disneyland Paris teams, alongside external companies, will meticulously clean, repaint, and repair countless scenic elements. The ultimate goal? To preserve the full richness of that immersive underwater experience inspired by the Disney Pixar animated film, Finding Nemo. You know, that vibrant, magical world needs a little tender loving care too!

The Biggest Refurbishment Yet for Crush’s Coaster

While Crush’s Coaster did undergo a prolonged six-month closure in 2015, the project kicking off in September 2026 stands as the most extensive refurbishment ever undertaken on the attraction since its grand opening nearly two decades ago. Thanks to the incredibly close collaboration between Disneyland Paris teams and external companies, this huge undertaking will ensure this iconic Disney Adventure World attraction operates perfectly for many, many more years. It’s a truly significant moment for our beloved turtle friend!
