Summer 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest seasons yet for Disneyland Resort. Whether you are looking for character encounters, new ride sequences, or ways to save on your next family vacation, there is a lot to track for the upcoming months.
The resort celebrates its 70th Anniversary through August 9, 2026, bringing a wave of nostalgia along with modern updates. From the return of classic tours to a brand-new flight on Soarin, here is everything happening at the Happiest Place on Earth this summer.
Huge Savings for Families
Disneyland is making it easier for families to visit with a special ticket offer for children aged 3 to 9. For just $50, kids can get a 1-day Park Hopper ticket for visits between May 22 and September 7, 2026. If you want to stay longer, 2-day and 3-day options are also available at a discount.

You can also save up to 15% on rooms at the Disneyland Hotel, Grand Californian Hotel, or Pixar Place Hotel. This deal applies to select stays from Sunday through Thursday nights during the same summer period.
Bluey and New Star Wars Adventures
The Fantasyland Theatre hosts Bluey’s Best Day Ever, a live show that brings the beloved characters from the hit series to life. Bluey and Bingo appear on stage throughout the day for a fun fair celebration. It is an excellent spot for young children to play in a shaded area while parents take a breather.

Over in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, things are moving fast. Starting May 22, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run debuts a new mission featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu. You will help Mando track down ex-Imperial officers in a mission that coincides with the release of the new feature film in theaters.

The adorable BDX droids also return to Black Spire Station on May 22. These droids-in-training will roam the land and interact with guests. For younger fans, Savi’s Workshop will host a free Youngling Saber Building Expo where kids can learn the art of lightsaber construction. While the experience is free, you have the option to purchase the saber at the end of the session.

Fresh Entertainment and Activities
On July 2, Soarin’ Over California transforms into Soarin’ Across America. This new airborne adventure takes you over natural wonders and iconic cityscapes across the United States to celebrate the country’s 250th anniversary.

If you prefer dancing, the Disney Friends Dance Party hits the Disney Theater in California Adventure starting May 22. Stitch’s Interplanetary Beach Party Blast also returns to Tomorrowland Terrace for those looking to boogie with the galaxy’s most famous experiment.

History buffs should mark August 14 on their calendars. The reimagined A Walk in Walt’s Footsteps guided tour returns, taking guests through the legacy of Walt Disney. This two-hour tour now starts in California Adventure and offers rare access to Walt’s private apartment above the Fire House on Main Street.
