Disney designed The Wetlands with both fun and relaxation in mind. Little adventurers will dive into nature’s story with whimsical wet and dry play areas. Imagine playful spaces inspired by the music and storytelling of Disney’s Pocahontas, especially those lovely lyrics from ‘Colors of the Wind’: ‘the heron and the otter are my friends.’
Heron Shores invites kids to explore with imaginative climbing features. Just around the riverbend, Otter Springs offers interactive water fun where little ones can splash and slide. Need to chill out? The lazy Daydream River will gently carry you through the recreation area, perfect for soaking in the views.

Opening in summer 2027 at Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Lakeshore Lodge truly celebrates nature’s beauty and magic, seen through the unique lens of Disney artists and storytellers. Walt Disney himself loved the great outdoors, and this resort pays tribute to that passion. You’ll spot subtle nods to beloved animated classics rooted in nature, from Bambi‘s lush forests and Pocahontas‘s vibrant winds to Brother Bear‘s grand glacial landscapes.
Perched on the tranquil shores of Bay Lake, Lakeshore Lodge encourages families to slow down, enjoy their surroundings, and make unforgettable memories.
