Disneyland Paris recently celebrated Bastille Day with a new nighttime spectacular on July 14th. This exceptional event featured an immersive aerial ballet, showcasing advanced technology above Sleeping Beauty Castle.
A Unique Drone Performance
This year’s Bastille Day celebration was notably devoid of pyrotechnics, a decision made due to the summer heatwave. Instead, the show pushed technological boundaries by presenting an aerial display with over 1,600 drones. These drones, guided by Tinker Bell, invited guests on a magnificent journey around the world, weaving through iconic Disney and Pixar stories.
The spectacle incorporated projections, lasers, and smoke effects, alongside the majestic luminous fleet provided by Dronisos. The night was transformed into an animated work of art, vibrant with the colors of France. The absence of traditional fireworks allowed for a choreography of rare intensity, complemented by a revamped soundtrack that enhanced every moment of this unique celebration.
Tinker Bell, a beloved character from Disney’s Peter Pan, is often associated with the magic and wonder of Disney parks, frequently appearing in nighttime shows to sprinkle pixie dust and guide guests through enchanting experiences. Sleeping Beauty Castle stands as the iconic centerpiece of Disneyland Park, serving as a backdrop for many of its most memorable spectacles.
