June 30, 2026: The Werecat Lady from The Haunted Mansion
Feel that chill in the air? It’s not just the happy haunts of The Haunted Mansion; it’s a brand-new limited-edition doll arriving just in time for Halloween! We know how much Disney Parks fans adore everything about this iconic attraction – its rich lore, the amazing Cast Member costumes, and every version across the globe. So, trust us, this doll is going to be a massive hit!

A Glimpse into the Mansion’s History
If you’ve ever explored The Haunted Mansion, either at Disneyland Park or Magic Kingdom Park, you’ve certainly walked or floated through the infamous changing portrait corridor. At Disneyland, these eerie paintings greet you right after the Stretching Room. Over at Magic Kingdom, your Doom Buggy glides right past them. But these aren’t just any portraits!
A flash of lightning transforms them, revealing ghostly images. One of the most captivating is the striking Werecat Lady, and now, Disney’s talented product design team brings her to life as a collector doll.
Imagineer Marc Davis originally designed the Werecat Lady for Disneyland. Her first portrait showed a beautiful woman in white with a red rose, lounging on a pink chaise, who would instantly transform into an ominous black panther. In 2005, the portrait got an update: her dress became black, the chaise turned orangey-red, and her alter ego shifted to an elegant white tigress. This is the stunning version you see today at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, and it always catches our eye!

Unboxing the Werecat Lady Doll
This Werecat Lady doll is pure fashion. She wears a long, silky black dress, detailed with delicate lace and a thick choker. Her look is completed by a haunting headpiece, a dazzling jewel necklace, dark eye makeup, and a bold swipe of red lipstick. Perfect Halloween costume inspiration, perhaps?
The packaging itself is a masterpiece. It’s double-sided, designed to mimic the framed photos within the Haunted Mansion. This clever design captures that supernatural surprise as the images dramatically shift under a UV reactive glow effect. One side shows her as the bewitching beauty on her ornate chaise, while the other reveals her frightening white tigress form. The box features gold detailing and a metal placard, just like a vintage picture frame from the mansion. You can even mount it on your wall for the full spooky effect!

Notice how the Werecat Lady’s pose in the box perfectly mirrors the portrait? That’s a storytelling detail fans will truly appreciate. This doll breaks new ground: it’s the first to recline, thanks to a newly sculpted torso that allows for extra movement. You can display her exactly as she appears in that iconic scene. She also comes with a stand if you prefer to pose her upright, showcasing the dynamic and innovative design collectors love.
The limited-edition Werecat Lady doll launches on DisneyStore.com on July 6 at 8 a.m. PT. She also arrives soon at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. Get ready to show off your Halloween spirit and your love for one of the Haunted Mansion’s most stylish souls!
April 30, 2026: Padmé Amidala
Excitement is building across the stars! A brand-new limited-edition doll is on the horizon, shining a spotlight on Padmé Amidala. With May the 4th festivities in full swing, celebrating all things Star Wars, we’re thrilled to give you an exclusive look at how this doll came to be, just in time for the galactic fun.

This doll perfectly captures Padmé’s elegance and style, straight from that iconic scene by the lake on Naboo in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. Even for a casual Star Wars viewer, this moment stands out with its striking visuals and dreamy aesthetic.
The flowing fabric, soft ombre coloring, and delicate sparkling accents that define Padmé’s lakeside look are beautifully recreated, feeling both contemporary and classic.
Did you know the embroidery on her cape draws inspiration from the architecture and written language of Naboo? It’s a fantastic detail! You might not realize the immense effort involved in crafting a doll-sized dress, but Design Manager J explains it was quite a challenge due to the scale. “Finding a fabric that drapes well at this small size is especially difficult,” J shared, “because of the size of the weave or knit versus the small amount used. Chiffon drapes easily on a person, but on a doll, the same material appears stiffer, and gathering on the outfit becomes very large.”

The Padmé doll truly tested the team’s creative thinking and vision as they worked to recreate such an iconic and recognizable ensemble. It takes about a year, from concept through approvals, development, and production, to deliver a doll like this. As we’ve learned from J before, the magic lies in the details. So much thought and time goes into even the smallest elements, making these products incredibly special for dedicated fans and collectors.

For instance, her necklace, arm cuffs, and back-of-dress charm are metal with an enamel fill and an iridescent sheen, reminiscent of mother-of-pearl, giving them an organic look. And those finishing touches – Padmé’s intricate hairdo and glamorous makeup – truly show the team’s impressive skill in scaling down screen details.

It’s also worth noting: the team had never sculpted a doll head for Natalie Portman before. So, their sculptor built the head from scratch! For new movies, they often get an actual scan of the actor’s face as a reference.

The Padmé Amidala Limited Edition Collector’s Doll launches at 8 a.m. PST on May 4 via DisneyStore.com. You’ll find plenty of other galactic goodies available there to celebrate Star Wars Day. The doll also arrives soon at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.
March 2, 2026: Disney’s Moana and Simea
From the moment we met Moana, her bravery, heart, and deep connection to her heritage made her an unforgettable Disney heroine. When her story continued in Moana 2, we met her younger sister, Simea. Their powerful bond now comes to life in a limited-edition doll set, celebrating sisterhood and storytelling!
Unlike the sinister spirit of our last doll reveal, these two sweet siblings join the ranks of collectible dolls. And here’s a hot tip for dedicated collectors: only 2,700 of these limited-edition dolls exist. That’s it!

J. Fuchs, Design Manager for Dolls & Souvenirs, shared invaluable insights into developing these limited-edition dolls. We asked about the difference in approach when using contemporary animation versus classic characters. J explained, “For modern era characters, we get digital models directly from the studios. So, the doll you see is made exactly from what appears on screen. It’s also much easier to understand the influences and cultural context, as we have direct access to the filmmakers and their references.”
This makes perfect sense! The Moana and Simea dolls feel incredibly animated and alive, as if they’ve literally stepped out of the film.

The commitment to honoring Moana’s cultural influences truly shines through. You’ll find so many beautifully intricate details and traditional components on these dolls. J noted, “Since the designs came directly from the filmmakers, we do our best to capture every detail possible, at this scale. We used a woven fabric to recreate the tapa cloth of Moana’s skirt, complete with multi-colored embroidery, natural woven trims, and threads for the grass skirt. The trim on her bodice represents the tiny feathers her people used as embellishments, and her fabric leaf crown perfectly captures the variegated look of Ti leaves.”
Truly, every single element is thoughtfully considered – from the elaborate costume pieces and accessories to the doll’s physical features that define their identities.

J also pointed out that only the metallic gold accents on Moana’s arm and oar intentionally look “unnatural.” Why? Because these are the magical details she receives at the end of her epic journey. It’s incredible how specific choices in colors and materials can tell an entire story!

As an older sister myself, I always love seeing this bond explored onscreen. The dynamic between Moana and Simea in Moana 2 is a central theme of the story. I wondered how their roles as older versus younger siblings translate into the dolls – do the teams consider facial expression, body posture, or even scale differences?

J answered all our questions! This set aims to capture Moana and Simea at the end of Moana 2, after Moana’s safe return. J shared, “We wanted them side by side as if looking at the ocean, with Moana recounting her tales and Simea excited for the day she gets to have her own. We even included the little starfish Simea gives Moana inside her necklace, a beautiful reminder that they’re always in each other’s hearts.”
The dolls come with display stands, perfect for collectors wanting to recreate that touching moment by the sea. But they are also fully poseable, inviting fans to create their own adventures and become part of the journey.
The Moana and Simea doll set will be available on DisneyStore.com starting at 8 a.m. PST on March 12.
January 26, 2026: Cruella de Vil
The newest doll to arrive today, January 26, is none other than Cruella de Vil! This fearsome, fashionable villain from Disney’s 101 Dalmatians is ready to make a grand entrance.

Cruella is instantly recognizable with her striking black-and-white palette, pops of rich red, devilish energy, and couture-inspired attire. We spoke with J. Fuchs, Design Manager for Dolls & Souvenirs, who helped bring Cruella to life. We were eager to learn how this doll balances honoring her iconic interpretations while still offering something fresh for collectors.
Cruella has graced screens in animation, live-action, and even our Disney Parks! When asked which versions influenced the doll most, J shared that the goal was to root it in the classic animated character but add modern elements. “The coat, face, and overall color scheme are pure classic Cruella,” J explained, “with nods to the live-action film in the more modern hairstyle, mixed metal jewelry, and dramatic design of the dress.”

J and the team meticulously translated Cruella’s bold attitude and iconic fashion sense into physical details through fabric selection and silhouette. Her larger-than-life fur coat, scarlet gloves and lips, and a sleek black dress remain staple elements. But they’ve added contemporary touches like contrasting snake print and faux leather materials, an asymmetrical cut to her attire, and glossy pleather over-the-knee boots.
J even mentioned that the coat neckline, featuring a medallion with “CDV” etched on, is detachable, allowing for multiple customizable looks. How clever!

What should fans be most excited about when they get their hands on Cruella? J pointed to the little things, explaining that the doll lets collectors admire all those thoughtful intricacies up close. “The fun for her is definitely in all the detailed jewelry and unusual fabrics,” J shared. “It’s not often I get to work with different textures like this – from the fuzziest to the sleekest we can find, to the ultra-shimmer fun of the coat lining, so that was the most exciting part of her outfit for me. The soft matte, snake-y suede on her dress is probably my all-time favorite material I’ve gotten to incorporate in an outfit!”

The Cruella doll is available on DisneyStore.com. Keep an eye out for more exciting doll reveals!
