The Year of the Horse Takes Over!
Horses are everywhere this Spring Festival! Shanghai Disney Resort has transformed, wrapped in beautiful equine-themed décor of auspicious red and gold. And you can’t miss the giant lantern lighting up the Gardens of Imagination – talk about being in the heart of the action!
Speaking of horses, guess who’s making a special debut for the Spring Festival? Bullseye! Woody and Jessie’s loyal toy horse comes to the resort on January 28 with an exclusive Welcome Moment on the Pepsi E-Stage. What a way to kick things off!
Throughout the celebration, you’ll spot Bullseye making surprise appearances during the daily Spring Festival Drum Ceremony. Plus, you can interact with him in Disney·Pixar Toy Story Land. Keep an eye out for Bullseye-themed decorations everywhere, from the entrance of Mickey Avenue to the transformed Garden of the Twelve Friends, now a Wishing Garden ready to grant happy wishes. It’s a fantastic photo op!

A Zootopia Twist and Other Horse Adventures
If you’re a Zootopia fan, especially after the latest film Zootopia 2, you’re in for a treat! You’ll find hidden surprises inspired by new equine characters like the Zebros and the new mayor, Brian Winddancer. Mayor Winddancer shares his « Happy Lucky Ear Festival » messages through cool, immersive experiences across the land. Look for his greeting card in the Zootopia Police Station, playful New Year puns on window stickers, and his daily Festival speech coming to life. It’s all designed to bring prosperity for the Year of the Horse!

But Bullseye isn’t the only horse in town! The Fantasia Carousel, with its 62 enchanting flying horses, invites you to take a magical stride into luck. And don’t miss Woody’s Roundup in Disney·Pixar Toy Story Land, where Andy’s toy ponies – like Lasso, Ace, and Lucky – will give you a hoof-tapping good time as they cart you around to lively beats. Yee-haw!
Disney Friends Dress Up!
Of course, our favorite Disney friends are all decked out too! They’re celebrating the Year of the Horse in truly unique, festive attire, embracing the tradition of welcoming the Spring Festival in fresh, lucky outfits.
Mickey and his pals look amazing in vibrant Chinese-style outfits. You’ll spot horse motifs, gold ingot designs, and embroidered patterns – all symbols of prosperity and good fortune! Mickey himself rocks a koi fish hat, a horse-embroidered jacket, and traditional shoes. Minnie? She’s sporting a chic tiger hat, a water-drop-shaped collar top with ruffled cuffs, and a beautiful horse-themed sachet. So much detail!

And what about Duffy and his friends? They’ve gone for a gorgeous blend of traditional Chinese style and Year of the Horse patterns. Duffy looks cozy in his Chinese-style jacket, while his pals show off butterfly designs and Chinese floral embroidery. It all adds up to a warm, cuddly, and very festive feeling! Even Winnie the Pooh and his friends are getting into the spirit, wrapped in cozy red scarves with traditional Chinese touches.
