Presented in Studio 7 and designed on one of the scenes of the hit film, this special effects attraction brings visitors to the Mir space Station until March 31, 2019. The attraction will be replaced by a brand new Marvel Land and its attractions from 2020.

The concept of the
ride is identical to the Land BACKLOT since the opening of the park on March
16, 2002: The realization of a new scene of the film with visitors for actors,
you! So after a quick stint in one of the two Studios 7 (A or B) for almost 10
minutes, “the assistant director” of the new scene tells you what
will follow and motivates you to make you the stars of this scene of Armageddon.
The second part appeals only to the actors, invited to mime their plays seen during the pre-show, before entering the film set in Studio 7. That is to say, fear and panic by protecting the face and of course screaming.
Studio 7 is a faithful reproduction of the central module of the space station as you Can see in the Armageddon Movie. Once the attraction is in motion, the effects start crescendo before the meteor arrives. After seeing the film, you can imagine that the atmosphere is becoming more and more catastrophic in the Mir station, plagued by an impressive deadly rain.
Thus, several scenes follow each other from the cabin of the station that twists, to fragments that catch fire and where the air escapes causing the closure of secures doors… Until the meteor enter in colision in the station, causing a fireball on the stage. A voice launches “Cut!”. The actors can leave the plateau impressed and happy to have experienced an incredible and unique experience in the world (which is the case).
What makes the success of the attraction is the multitude of effects and moving elements activating in a meticulous choreography.
Armageddon is composed of two ” debrief show” (pre-show) rooms for a 12-minute debrief. After access to the main plateau, the 180 crew members will undergo the meteor attack for almost 5 minutes.
This Walkthrough type attraction is unique in the park as is its duration, almost 17 minutes! It is the longest attraction of the park and among the longest of the destination Disney France.

Unfortunately today this attraction accuses years of neglect on the part of Disney because of its uncertain future! Indeed, for more than 5 years many rumors about its replacement have animated discussions on the various social networks. And for 3 years the effects like indoor smoke are no longer active, maintenance of the boiler has been abandoned, or some effects like parts of the suspended structure only work 30 ℅ of their capacities. Beyond the maintenance failures validated by the direction of Disney, Disney acted to maintain the attraction but without putting it forward where by promoting it in its programs for example. This policy is realized on the ground by a rotating attraction with only one of the two debrief (pre-show) and a minimum staff of 7 employees in the building.

- The attraction can accommodate up to 1205 visitors per hour
- The giant fan brews 10 775 cubic metre of air per second
- The large fan duct is large and wide enough for a person to enter and stand naturally.
