  • New Disney Character Topiaries Bloom at Central Plaza

Walking through Central Plaza just got a lot more whimsical. Disneyland Park is adding new seasonal topiaries to the gardens around the hub, bringing some of our favorite characters to life through greenery.

You can already find the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland grinning among the flowers. These additions aren’t just for decoration; they create perfect new photo spots and pull you deeper into the Disney stories as you walk toward the Castle.

Keep your eyes peeled over the next few weeks. Tick-Tock the Crocodile from Peter Pan will soon join the collection, completing this new look for Central Plaza.

Ever wonder how these come to be? A topiary is a sculpture made by carefully pruning shrubs and plants into specific shapes. It’s a true art form that the Horticulture team masters to keep the park looking magical.

These new pieces are the result of a big team effort. Walt Disney Imagineering Paris collaborated with the Horticulture and Show Workshop teams to make sure the designs were both faithful to the movies and practical for the park’s environment.

Producer Virginie Debray explains that the goal was to blend creative vision with technical skill. By working together, they chose the best landscaping options to ensure these characters look spectacular for every guest passing by.
