This isn’t just a minor tweak; it’s a full immersion into the rich tapestry of Star Wars history. The team is carefully integrating iconic characters, new props, and even fresh musical selections from John Williams’ legendary film scores throughout the land. Every detail will draw you deeper into the galaxy.
Ready to meet some legends? Let’s dive into who you’ll soon encounter!
Iconic Star Wars Saga Characters Land on Batuu
Prepare yourselves: the Imperial March will soon echo through the Black Spire Outpost. None other than Darth Vader himself arrives on Batuu, relentlessly searching for Luke Skywalker. He won’t be alone; Imperial Stormtroopers will be with him, sniffing out any trace of the Force. What an incredible sight that will be!

And speaking of Luke, get ready for a reunion! Leia Organa and Han Solo will find their way to Batuu, joining Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca among the towering spires. Seeing these heroes together again? Pure magic!

You’ll find Luke Skywalker exploring the outpost, keen to learn more about the Force and seeking artifacts for lightsaber building or kyber crystals. Imagine bumping into him on your own quest!

Look for Leia Organa near the Millennium Falcon. She’ll be recruiting travelers and locals, asking for help to keep Luke safe. Maybe you’ll be one of the lucky ones!

And of course, Han Solo will be lingering around his beloved ship, perhaps a little too tempted by the local cantina. Classic Han, right?

Don’t worry, your current favorites aren’t going anywhere! These new heroes and villains will join the familiar faces you already see in Galaxy’s Edge. You can still expect to encounter Ahsoka Tano and, of course, The Mandalorian and Grogu near the marketplace.

The iconic astromech droid, R2-D2, will also continue his adventures, rolling through the land and charming everyone he meets.

The forested area, the heart of the Resistance, remains! You’ll still find Rey around the Resistance camp, and if you’re brave enough, you can still become a hero yourself on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. The fight against the First Order continues!

The Sounds of the Galaxy: John Williams’ Masterpieces
As you take in the stunning landscape of Batuu, with its towering petrified trees, your immersion will be complete. Disneyland is adding beloved scores from the legendary composer John Williams! You’ll hear themes from the first six films, wrapping you in the full grandeur of the Star Wars universe. It’s truly going to elevate the atmosphere.
This is a game-changer for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The ability to encounter characters from different eras and feel the rich history of the saga come alive around you is something fans have dreamed of. Get ready for an adventure unlike any other!
