  • Disneyland Paris and EDF: Powering the Magic Sustainably Until 2030

Have you ever wondered how much power it takes to run Disneyland Paris? Keeping the magic alive requires a lot of energy, and doing it sustainably is the next big challenge for the resort.

Disneyland Paris and EDF just extended their partnership through the end of 2030. This five-year deal places EDF at the heart of the resort’s energy transition, moving away from simple branding toward real environmental changes.

If you drive an electric car to the parks, this affects you directly. EDF provides the electricity for the resort’s charging stations, using a power mix that is 99% CO2-free. By 2026, you’ll see new signs on these chargers explaining exactly where that clean energy comes from.

Behind the scenes, the tech is getting a major upgrade too. A new thermo-refrigerating pump installed by Dalkia is already cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 9% and natural gas use by 14%. It’s a massive technical win for the environment that most guests never see.

This news arrives right as the resort undergoes a huge transformation. With the recent opening of World of Frozen at Disney Adventure World, EDF is already launching new campaigns to help their customers explore the new kingdom of Arendelle.

This partnership isn’t just about ads; it’s about making the parks run more efficiently for the next decade.
