Walt Disney World isn’t just about theme park thrills; they’re also big on giving back to the community. This summer, they’re pouring magic into Central Florida schools, with a massive investment and some unforgettable surprises for teachers and students alike!
As the school year winds down, Disney World decided to celebrate the incredible students and dedicated educators across Orange, Osceola, Lake, Polk, and Seminole counties. How? By bringing a generous dose of Disney magic right into their schools!
The Goof Troop Drops into Local Schools
Imagine being a little one at school, and suddenly, Disney characters show up! That’s exactly what happened when Disney World surprised local elementary schools. Kindergarten and pre-K students got an exclusive sneak peek of the ‘zany, wacky, and downright goofy fun’ heading to GoofyCore at Epcot this summer as part of the ‘Cool KIDS’ SUMMER’ event.
Goofy, along with the whole Goof Troop, got everyone moving and grooving. The youngest students didn’t hesitate, diving headfirst into some seriously silly – and seriously fun – activities.

But the Disney magic didn’t vanish with the last school bell! After the kids went home, Disney invited teachers, administrators, and school staff to stay for an extra-special thank you. After some fun games, every single educator received complimentary tickets for their families to visit Walt Disney World. What a way to show appreciation for their hard work!

A Big Investment in the Central Florida Community
These fun-filled school visits are just one part of Walt Disney World’s commitment to supporting education across Florida. Beyond the pure joy of ‘Cool KIDS’ SUMMER,’ they also provide crucial funding to help education programs truly flourish.
This summer, Disney World made a massive $1.3 million donation, directly benefiting all five local school districts. This incredible sum also supports vital nonprofits like Elevate Orlando and A Gift for Teaching, plus fantastic cultural programs such as the Orlando Philharmonic Young People’s Concert and Disney Musicals in Schools, run through the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
This substantial financial boost goes directly where it’s most needed, creating opportunities in STEM, literacy programs, and arts education, among many other crucial areas.

Whether it’s these playful school moments or the unforgettable adventures families share in the parks, ‘Cool KIDS’ SUMMER’ truly sparks joy, creativity, and connection. If you’re planning a trip, remember that families can dive into all the fun of ‘Cool KIDS’ SUMMER’ at Disney World from May 26 to September 8.
