Shanghai Disney Resort didn’t just welcome the Year of the Horse; they rode into it with an amazing traditional lion eye-dotting ceremony! Imagine the scene: Shanghai Disneyland, full of energy, with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse in their festive best, and guess who else? Bullseye from Toy Story! What a perfect touch for the Year of the Horse. Andrew Bolstein, the President and General Manager, even joined Mickey to dot the lions’ eyes, bringing good luck to everyone, from guests to Cast Members.

Spring Festival is a huge deal, a time for families and friends to come together, and Shanghai Disney Resort embraces it fully. This year, with a nine-day public holiday, everyone gets even more time to make those special memories. The celebrations are already in full swing, running all the way through March 3, 2026! Get ready for the resort to transform with vibrant, distinctly Chinese decorations, creating an atmosphere of pure joy and reunion.
And wait until you see the nighttime spectacular! Every evening, from February 16 right through the Lantern Festival on March 3, the Enchanted Storybook Castle lights up for Spring Festival Celebration: “Our Families.” It’s truly dazzling. They project the Chinese character for ‘horse’ onto the castle, a beautiful symbol of strength and good fortune for the year ahead. Combined with incredible projections and heartwarming music, it’s pure Disney magic, perfect for celebrating with loved ones.
A quick note for those planning to see it: like all outdoor shows, sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate. High winds, heavy fog, or even lightning can mean they might need to adjust the fireworks, delay, or even cancel the show for everyone’s safety. It’s always good to check the schedule!

But hold on, there’s even more to celebrate! This Year of the Horse also marks a massive milestone for Shanghai Disney Resort: its tenth anniversary! Can you believe it? The big ’10th Birthday’ celebration officially kicks off in March, and I hear the teams are working flat out, putting the final touches on what promises to be an incredible year-long party. Get ready!
So, as the Year of the Horse gallops in, bringing vitality and good fortune, Shanghai Disney Resort invites you to dive into all the Spring Festival fun. Gather your family and friends, and prepare for a year packed with happiness, joy, and that unique, unforgettable Disney magic!

Horses really gallop into the spotlight this year! You’ll see Bullseye everywhere, of course, but don’t forget the enchanting flying steeds on The Fantasia Carousel or Andy’s toy ponies at Woody’s Roundup. The whole resort is embracing these magical equine adventures for the Year of the Horse.

Bullseye even has his own spot in the zodiac mosaic! His lively and spirited image sends heartfelt wishes for smooth journeys and good fortune to every guest. How cool is that?

And check this out: in the world’s first and only Zootopia land, they’ve got special decorations! Look for the new Zootopia mayor, Brian Winddancer, plus the Zebros and playful window stickers. So many fun festive touches!

The Gardens of the Twelve Friends has totally transformed into a festive New Year Wishing Garden. It’s a beautiful spot where guests can share their best wishes for the year ahead.
