Disney World is expanding again, and this time, it’s all about the great outdoors. Disney Lakeshore Lodge officially joins the lineup in summer 2027 on the shores of Bay Lake.
This isn’t just another hotel. It’s a tribute to Walt Disney’s personal love for nature, blending modern architecture with the artistry of classic films like Bambi and Brother Bear. The design celebrates decades of storytelling rooted in the wilderness.

The design looks impressive. Massive floor-to-ceiling windows will flood the lobby with sunlight, making you feel like the forest flows right into the building. It’s all about slowing down and taking in the surrounding flora and fauna.
The resort features 967 rooms, ranging from cozy studios to large suites. Many offer views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks, but the real highlights are the one- and two-bedroom Lake Houses sitting right on the water. They offer families a private space to unwind closer to nature.
We’ll be following this project closely as construction progresses. Expect more details soon on the dining locations and unique amenities coming to this waterfront escape.
