Ever wondered what it’s like to dine in Andy’s backyard, shrunk down to toy size? We did just that at Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land, and let me tell you, our appetites were anything but small! Join Laura, Nicole, and me as we dive into this all-you-care-to-eat lunch experience.

Walking under the playful entrance, where ‘BBQ’ spells out with Andy’s mismatched stickers, you immediately feel the fun. This isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an adventure in Andy’s imaginative world.

Just like the rest of Toy Story Land, Andy built this place with cardboard, toys, and his own crayon masterpieces. Every detail screams playtime!

C’mon In and Have a Seat
The Cast Members, playing Andy’s toys, welcome you with open arms – and a playful spirit! For Laura, a ‘greenhorn’ (that’s cowboy for newbie!), tradition meant earning her spurs by riding an imaginary steed to our table.
Nicole and I, always up for some fun, happily cheered her on! We even saw little ones truly galloping with joy.

This place is pure fun, from top to bottom. Andy’s scattered his favorite toys and packaging everywhere, creating one of the most unique dining spots near Midway Mania.

You’re always part of the action here, no matter where you sit. The lighting is playfully tinted, setting a cool mood, and Western swing music fills the air – I even heard Act Naturally and an upbeat version of You’ve Got a Friend in Me.
Then, the magic happens. Suddenly, you hear ‘Andy’s coming!’ and everyone – Cast Members and guests alike – freezes! Yes, everyone! I even caught a fellow diner’s eye mid-bite. It’s a hilarious, unforgettable moment that truly makes you feel like a toy.

What’ll it Be, Partner?
Our tableware looked like Andy’s picnic plates, and while I was giggling, Nicole, our resident Disney Eats guru, nudged me to pick up the menu. First, drinks! We each tried an adult beverage.
Nicole loved the Whinnyin’ Whiskey Lemonade, a refreshing mix of whiskey, Aperol, strawberry, lemonade, and basil – ‘sweet, but not too sweet,’ she noted. I went for the Coal’d Fashioned, a smoky Western take on the classic with bourbon, coffee liqueur, cinnamon, and bitters. It paired perfectly with all the hearty BBQ.
Laura enjoyed the vibrant purple Prickly Spur Long Island, calling it ‘not too strong, a little sweet, with a great desert pear flavor for a backyard picnic.’
Of course, we couldn’t resist a kid-friendly option: the Partysaurus Tex! It’s Minute Maid Premium Lemonade and strawberry purée, topped with gummy candy. The strawberry-lemonade combo was a bright, sweet delight.
And just wait, folks, because when the meat platter arrived, we ordered another candy-infused drink you’ll definitely want to hear about!

Saddle Up with These Starters
Our drinks barely hit the table when The Prospector’s Homemade Cheddar Biscuits with Sweet Pepper Jelly arrived. These biscuits are legendary here! Laura, initially surprised by the pepper jelly, quickly became a huge fan.
‘You can’t go wrong with a cheddar biscuit, but this is top tier,’ she declared. ‘This is the appetizer for a backyard BBQ.’
We also sampled the Rootin’ Tootin’ Tomato Salad – a fresh mix of cucumbers, pickled red onion, and tomatoes with a white balsamic vinaigrette. It reminded me of my grandpa’s family reunion salad in Kentucky! And Wheezy’s Fruit Salad, with its refreshing hint of mint, was a perfect palate cleanser before the main event.

Save Room for All the Fixin’s
For a complete review, we went all-in, ordering both the House-Smoked Items and Trixie’s Plant-Based Trio. First up, the House-Smoked platter: it piled high with Evil Dr. Smoked Ribs, Buttercup’s Beef Brisket, There’s a Sausage in my Boot – Fire-grilled Pork Sausage, and BBQ Chicken – with Style!

Laura couldn’t stop raving about the brisket, saying, ‘It truly melts in your mouth.’ She tried all three BBQ sauces, and we even spotted a table nearby asking for ketchup – to each their own!
The beauty of all-you-care-to-eat means endless flavor combinations with sides like Potato Barrels, Slinky Doooooooooog’s Mac & Cheese, Cowpoke Corn on the Cob, The Claw! Veggie Slaw, and Buckin’ Baked Beans.
I happily paired my potato barrels with brisket and that incredible mac & cheese. And yes, the mac & cheese is seriously good – Laura agreed: ‘Super spiral! This mac & cheese is something special. The spirals remind me of Slinky, and that creamy sauce is just divine.’

With fiddles and banjos playing, we grabbed another drink: Molly’s Frozen Berry Splash. This blend of blueberry, raspberry, strawberry syrups, lemon juice, and freeze-dried candy was a fantastic, refreshing break from all the savory BBQ. Honestly, sometimes you just need Skittles and brisket!

Then, we dove into Trixie’s Plant-Based Trio, discovering some seriously unique BBQ veggie creations. It featured Combat Carloflower with Harissa Drizzle and Walnut Gremolata, Scrumptious Bratwurst, and the Rip Roarin’ Rib Chop, made with Barbecue-seasoned IMPOSSIBLE Beef.
The ‘Carloflower’ was wonderfully seasoned with harissa – not too spicy, even for me! The plant-based bratwurst was hearty, but the Rip Roarin’ Rib Chop truly stole the show. Each ‘rib’ piece was incredibly juicy, with a rich sauce and texture that genuinely mimicked real ribs. Nicole was just as impressed: ‘There’s a slight kick, a good kick. It’s packed with flavor, and I’ve never seen anything like it!’
Good news for plant-based diners: the Potato Barrels, The Claw! Veggie Slaw, and Buckin’ Baked Beans are all plant-based too. We had so much food, we were ready for dessert!

Circle Up for Chuckwagon Desserts
Our meal included individually-portioned desserts, with five fantastic options: Bo’s Seasonal Cheesecake, Billy’s Chocolate Silk Pie, Goat’s Banana Cream Pie, Gruff’s Strawberry Shortcake (plant-based), and Cupcake à la Forky.

Laura, of course, chose the festive Cupcake à la Forky – a gooey chocolate cake with graham cracker buttercream and an adorable Forky sugar cookie on top.

As a seasoned Roundup Rodeo diner, I already knew Billy’s Chocolate Silk Pie was my top pick: smooth, airy, and the perfect sweet ending.

Nicole’s favorite was Goat’s Banana Cream Pie, though she admitted Bo’s Seasonal Cheesecake and Gruff’s Strawberry Shortcake were tough contenders.

Head ‘Em Up and Move ‘Em Out
With the last gummy candy gone and our ‘Yee haws’ all used up, it was time to leave. Our server even offered to-go cups for our Molly’s Frozen Berry Splash, and we gratefully accepted.
We left absolutely stuffed, with BBQ in our bellies and Western tunes in our heads. Laura couldn’t stop talking about those cheddar biscuits on the way out – a true sign she’s now a seasoned Roundup Rodeo BBQ veteran!
