PREVIEW : Disney’s HOTEL NEW YORK – the art of MARVEL

Aujourd’hui nous vous proposons un article dédié à l’hôtel New York où Disney nous a convié pour découvrir la version rénovée de cet établissement plus moderne aux ambiances Marvel.

Today we offer you an article dedicated to the New York hotel in Disneyland Paris! We were invited to discover the renovated version, modernized with Marvel atmospheres.

Petite note importante. Lors de la visite de l’hôtel vous remarquerez que tout n’était pas encore prêt. En effet, à plus de deux semaines de l’ouverture, les équipes sont en pleine effervescence pour les finitions, la pose des derniers décors, vitrines et œuvres d’arts. Rendez-vous le 21 juin pour l’ouverture de l’hôtel !

Important note: When we visited the hotel you will notice that not everything was fully ready. Indeed, more than two weeks before the opening, the teams are on the finishes, the installation of the last sets, showcases and works of art. In itself, what makes the difference. See you on June 21 for the opening of the hotel!

EXTERIEUR

Le premier changement en arrivant à l’hôtel est son aspect extérieur. Des lumières verticales rouges accompagnent les nouvelles tours grises, accentuant le sentiment de hauteur du bâtiment. De même, la patinoire extérieure en hiver et piste de quad en été, devient un espace vert où il fera bon se poser et siroter un cocktail. En espérant que ce lieu restera permanent tant il évoque une ambiance Central Park.

En vous rapprochant du Lobby, vous trouverez des terrasses ombragées où les serveurs du Bleecker Street Lounge viendront vous proposer des boissons.

The first change when arriving at the hotel is its external appearance. Red vertical lights accompany the new gray towers, accentuating the building’s sense of height. Similarly, the outdoor ice rink in winters and quad track in summer, becomes a garden where it will be good to sit and sip a cocktail. Hoping that this place will remain permanent as it evokes a Central Park atmosphere.
As you get closer to the Lobby, you will find shaded terraces where the waiters of the Bleecker Street Lounge will come to offer you drinks.

LOBBY

Le lobby a été entièrement revu, là aussi, la verticalité est notable grâce aux remarquables colonnes en aluminium sérigrafiées à l’effigie de nos héros favoris ! Toujours avec un sentiment de grandeur, les plafonds suspendus donnent plus de profondeur.

L’utilisation de matériaux aux textures variées propose un cadre luxueux et chaleureux.

La réception et le concierge sont maintenant sur des comptoirs distincts respectant un style moderne tout en courbes et les rendant plus accueillants.

The lobby has been completely revised, there too, the verticality is notable thanks to the remarkable silkscreened aluminum columns with the effigy of our favorite heroes! Always with a sense of verticality, the hanging ceilings give more depth.
The use of materials with varied textures offers a luxurious and warm setting.

The reception and concierge are now on separate counters respecting a modern style all in curves and making them more welcoming.

BLEECKER STREET LOUNGE

C’est dans une atmosphère résolument urbaine et branchée courue du Tout-Manhattan que vous pourrez profiter de ce bar-loft et de sa terrasse.

It is in a resolutely urban and trendy atmosphere run by all-Manhattan that you can enjoy this bar-loft and its terrace.

SKYLINE BAR

Ce bar vous offrira une vue panoramique sur Manhattan et la Tour Avenger. Pendant que vous prendrez votre consommation sur un des deux espaces cocooning, vous pourrez observer New York évoluer tout au long de la journée, de jour comme de nuit, et attention aux visiteurs surprises !

This bar will offer you panoramic views of Manhattan and the Avenger Tower. While you take your consumption on one of the two cocooning spaces, you can watch New York evolve throughout the day, day and night, and watch out for surprise visitors!

KID’S ZONE – MARVEL DESIGN STUDIO

Cet espace pour les enfants de tous âges est idéal pour les occuper tout en boostant leur créativité artistique grâce aux croquis sur place dans un cadre artistique qui habille l’hôtel !

SUPER HERO STATION

C’est l’une des particularités de l’hôtel. Les résidents pourront réserver sur l’application mobile une session de rencontre avec un des Super Héros, comme Spider-Man, pour interagir avec lui, poser sur des photos. Ils pourront aussi se faire prendre en photo sur l’un des huit autres décors représentant l’univers de vos héros préférés comme la chambre de Spiderman, une illusion de Docteur Strange ou la salle des armures de Tony Stark. C’est un espace unique réservé aux résidents de l’hôtel pour créer des souvenirs en famille des plus originaux.

This is one of the peculiarities of the hotel. Residents will be able to book on the mobile application a meeting session with one of the Super Heroes, such as Spider-Man, to interact and take pictures together. They can also be photographed on one of the other eight sets representing the universe of your favorite heroes such as Spiderman’s room, a Doctor Strange illusion or Tony Stark’s armor room. It is a unique space reserved for hotel residents to create the most original family memories.

CONVENTION CENTER

Le centre de convention pour les entreprises n’est également pas en reste puisque les espaces de réception ont aussi été rénovés dans un style résolument moderne et discret. Idéal pour programmer des meetings.

The convention center for companies is also not to be outdone since the reception areas have also been renovated in a resolutely modern and discreet style. Ideal for scheduling meetings.

DOWNTOWN RESTAURANT

Un des principaux changements vient des Restaurants.

La première bonne surprise est l’entrée du Downtown Restaurant qui a été repensée avec la création d’un couloir dédié évitant l’effet « bouchon » vécu précédemment pour les visiteurs se dirigeant vers le Restaurant Manhattan.

Deuxième bonne surprise, les buffets et cuisines sont entièrement visibles par les clients sur toute la longueur de la salle. Un four à flammes pour des pizzas, des machines pour faire des pâtes minutes et j’en oublie. La salle s’impose par son cadre cozy avec une ambiance calme et feutrée aux fauteuils et banquettes accueillants.

Another of the main changes comes from restaurants.
The first good surprise is the entrance to the Downtown Restaurant which has been redesigned with the creation of a dedicated corridor avoiding the « traffic jam » effect previously experienced by visitors heading to the Manhattan Restaurant.
Second good surprise, the buffets and kitchens are fully visible to customers throughout the length of the room. A flame oven for pizzas, machines to make pasta minutes and so on. The place stands out for its cozy setting with a quiet and atmosphere with welcoming armchairs and benches.

MANHATTAN RESTAURANT

Bienvenue dans ce qui est le plus chic, le plus brillant et le plus glamour des restaurants de l’hôtel avec au centre, un majestueux lustre de plus d’une tonne évoquant à la fois la verticalité de New York et Asgard la cité de Thor.

Les assiettes, elles aussi, évoquent ce lustre, pièce maitresse du restaurant. A n’en pas douter, une musique au piano avec un service 4 étoiles fera la différence.

Welcome to what is the chicest, brightest and most glamorous of the hotel’s restaurants with in the center, a majestic chandelier of more than a ton evoking both the verticality of New York and Asgard the city of Thor.
The plates also evoke this chandelier, the centerpiece of the restaurant. Without a doubt, piano music with a 4-star service will make the difference.

MARVEL ROOM

Ici aussi modernité et mobilier spécifiques dans chaque type de chambre que ce soit ici sur la Spiderman Room ou la Tony Stark Room. Les couleurs rouge, argent et noire sont mises en avant. Les salles de bain ont majoritairement des douches à l’italienne là où avant il y avait des baignoires. Pour dissimuler les WC, une paroi vitrée opaque a été installée.

Here also modernity and specific furniture in each type of room whether here on the Spiderman Room or the Tony Stark Room. The colors red, silver and black are highlighted. The bathrooms mostly have walk-in showers where before there were bathtubs. To conceal the toilets, an opaque glass wall was installed.

Vous l’aurez compris, après plus de deux ans de travail, les équipes Disney ont réussi à transformer un Hôtel qui n’était que l’ombre de lui-même en un lieu moderne, chaleureux et artistique avec plus de 350 œuvres d’art distillées.

As you will have understood, after more than two years of work, the Disney teams have managed to transform a Hotel that was only a shadow of itself into a modern, welcoming and artistic place with more than 350 distilled works of art.
